GOOD NEWS! GiveEasy is upgrading and moving its payments system to STRIPE.
Stripe is a leading global payments platform that will bring a number of benefits to your organisation. It fits in nicely with the GiveEasy values of making it easy as possible to donate whether you are on desktop or a mobile device.
We only need a few things from you...
- Account holder date of birth and personal address
- Account holder's Australian Driver's License details
- A quick check that the details we have on file are correct
Q. I already have a Stripe account set up, can I just use that one?
That's great! However, we will just need you to input some additional details so we can set you up with Stripe using GiveEasy. Note, this will NOT affect your current Stripe set up at all. Funds will still flow from GiveEasy in one lump sum for credit card/debit card into your nominated bank account as is the normal process.
Q. It's asking me for a username and password, what should I use?
Please use your email and password which you use to login to GiveEasy with. This makes sure that the form is secure and in line with best practice. If you have forgotten your details, please let us know and we will reset it for you.
Q. What address should I be using on the sign-up form?
Stripe requires the individual that will sign up to put in their personal address of residence. It is REALLY important that this matches your driver's license which you will be also asked to submit.
Q. Why are we being asked to put personal address and a personal driver's license in to submit?
Great question! Stripe has two categories... Individuals or Businesses. As a charity is definately NOT a business, Stripe treats a charity like an individual and needs one person from the charity to be the account representative. Hence, we need this information. We have the remaining information already (which is great news!) from when your charity signed up originally.
Q. What does Stripe do with the details that you submit?
Stripe has a validation process that is used worldwide to validate your details. It is called Know Your Client (KYC) and is a relatively new requirement when you open a new bank account or any financial instrument that you start. GiveEasy relies importantly on Stripe to complete this important step. Your details will never be shared with anyone, anytime or ever.
Q. Who should fill out the additional questions?
This is really up to your organisation. Anyone who is authorised to sign on behalf of your organisation is able to do this.
Q. My charity details need to be updated should I update them here?
Yes please update all your details on the form.
If you have other questions, please let us know and we will only be too happy to answer them.
We look forward to the benefits that Stripe will bring to your digital fundraising!
